Dental Nurse
About the Dental Nurse Position:
The dental nurse (or dental assistant) works closely with the Dental Operator (dentist or dental hygienist) in all stages of the patient's treatment. The dental nurse's duties include
- reception of the patient and preparation for treatment
- sterilising instruments
- chairside assistance - using suction apparatus and passing instruments
- other activities as directed
A dental nurse may also be involved in aspects of the administration of the practice.
