Fees and Payment

Care For Smiles offers a competitive pricing structure.

Compared to the National Dental Fees Survey conducted by the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Care For Smiles fee structure is lower or equal to the median fee given in the survey. We do not cut our costs by reducing the time spent with clients, or use cheaper/inferior materials, or compromise our infection control protocols. Care For Smiles only uses local dental laboratories. We do not outsource to overseas dental laboratories.

Before commencing any work, our dentist will discuss the treatment options available and costs with you. A treatment plan to suit your needs will be created and a written estimate or quotation provided for any major dental work.

Payment options

Payment is required on the day of treatment unless otherwise arranged. Where the treatment occurs in several stages, progressive payments occur.

EFTPOS, Credit cards and HICAPS accepted

Care For Smiles accepts cash, EFTPOS, American Express, Mastercard and Visa. No fee is charged for credit card use.

Care For Smiles can process private health insurance funds claims on the spot using HICAPS. You only pay the difference between the Care For Smiles fee and the amount claimed from your health fund (the gap amount). Remember to bring your health insurance card to your appointment.

Care For Smiles is a Preferred Provider for the HCF More For Teeth program and the CBHS Choice Network program. HCF and CBHS Health Fund members are fully covered for annual check-ups, cleans, x-rays, mouthguards and more (subject to annual limits).

Lowering the cost of dental care

The best way to lower the cost of dental care is to prevent dental decay and gum disease through maintaining good oral hygiene, including brushing and flossing. Regular check-ups and early intervention are a relatively inexpensive way to avoid potentially higher costs in the future.
