FAQ: About Needles and Injections
Q: I don't like needles. Will the injection hurt?
The dentists at Care For Smiles apply "numbing gel" and ice to reduce discomfort. We also offer the option of nitrous oxide sedation to help you through this phase. You will feel tingling or heaviness in the area after you are numb. It will feel different, but it is not painful.
Q: How long will the numbness last?
The numbness is temporary and usually lasts between 2 to 4 hours.
